Raffingers is working in partnership with ARC to help keep their members informed on current matters within the recruitment industry. Our upcoming event will allow members to voice concerns about issues affecting recruitment businesses. It’s also an opportunity to out how ARC suppliers can support your recruitment organisations.
Our Partner, Lee Manning, will be a guest speaker at the event and will discuss how to successfully transform and grow your recruitment business, including the complexities of sales, mergers and acquisitions.
If you are a business owner who is interested in selling part or all of your recruitment business, purchasing part or all of another business or creating an arrangement to work with another business, then this network meeting will be of interest.
Our Partner Lee will be talking you through the tips of the trade when it comes to successfully navigating the sale of your company, and how to avoid the dynamics and issues that can frequently arise.
In attendance, there will be another guest speaker, Peter Lappin, who is a legal consultant at Lawspeed. He will be discussing how to protect your fees.
Most transactions between agencies and clients are concluded without problems, but fee disputes and ‘back door hires’ are increasingly a regrettable fact of life. In his presentation, Peter will cover:
- How can you protect your fees?
- Common excuses used by clients to avoid paying fees and common mistakes made by recruiters
- How do you know when a ‘back door hire’ has taken place and how can you prove it?
- Transfer fee disputes and opting out – Conduct Regulations
- Settling disputes without spending a fortune
- Litigation and bringing court proceedings

The meetings are free for ARC members and £50+VAT for non-members. Non-members are welcome to attend but are restricted to a maximum of two network meetings per calendar year.
