Raffingers and Winkworth: Property and Tax Event

Tuesday 15 March, 2016

HMRC

The 2015 Budget and The Autumn Statement announced new tax measures that will affect the tax position of buy-to-let landlords. In response to these new changes, we are proud to announce that we will be holding a series of Tax and Property events in conjunction with international estate agents, Winkworth.

Our Senior Tax Manager and former HMRC Investigator, Neill Staff, will hold a short presentation discussing the proposed 2016 changes and will provide you with an analysis of the market, which will be followed by a Q&A session and networking drinks and canapés.

Topics to be discussed:

  • Changes to wear and tear allowance
  • Changes to tax relief on loan borrowing
  • Limited company versus private ownership
  • New stamp duty on second homes
  • The market today

Who should attend?
This event is essential for anyone with property investments or is interested in investing in property, particularly those who:

  • Would like to know more information on the proposed changes and how it will affect you
  • Would like to know what you can do to avoid being drowned by the new legislation
  • Do not want to be caught by the current aggressive stance now being taken by HMRC
